Congregation of the Passion

Chicago, Illinois & Louisville, Kentucky

The Congregation of the Passion partnered with McBride Kelley Baurer in renovating a 1915 apartment building in Chicago and a 1904 monastery in Louisville into homes for their religious community. These completely renovated residences incorporate larger common areas including chapel, living room, dining room, kitchen, library, fitness center and offices. These shared spaces help promote a sense of community. The Chicago residence includes twelve bedroom suites, while the Louisville residence has sixteen. A phased master plan has been developed for the entire Louisville property.
