Friends of the Chicago River Bridgehouse and Museum Opening

On Friday, June 9th McBride Kelley Baurer was present for the press conference opening on the new McCormick Tribune Bridgehouse and Chicago River Museum, a new institution committed to helping people understand the history of the Chicago River and its inextricable link with the city.

Located inside the southwest tower on the Michigan Avenue Bridge in Chicago, the Bridgehouse tells the fascinating story of a prairie stream transformed to serve a city and celebrates Chicago's world famous bridges.

MKB coordinated the design and interior renovation of this five story historical structure originally completed in 1920 as part of the 1909 Burnham Plan. The museum is now open daily. Visit for further details.
