Lawndale Christian Health Center Awarded Stimulus Grant

The Lawndale Christian Health Center received stimulus grant money to use toward its new Ogden Avenue location. The federal government awarded $10 million to LCHC to build its new 64,000 square foot Health and Wellness Center on Ogden Avenue in North Lawndale. Over 600 health care centers nationwide competed for $525 million allotted to the Health Care Facilities Improvement Program (FIP) in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Only four health centers in Illinois received funding in this highly competitive process, and LCHC received by far the largest grant in the state.
